General Information
Last year's event was such a huge success that we outgrew our venue and had to seek a larger facility. So this year, the 12th annual City Lights Ball will be held in a new location in downtown San Jose, California at the San Jose Civic Auditorium. Hotels are conveniently located directly across the street, as are restaurants.
Under the direction of owners Glenn Weiss and Barbara Gore, this year's event promises to be bigger and better than ever.
This year we've added a professional Showdance competition on Sunday night which should prove to be very exciting and entertaining. United States Professional Latin Champion, Maxim Kozhevnikov will be performing with his new partner, Beata, on Saturday evening. Last year he and Yulia wowed us with their riveting performance. He promises to do the same again this year.
We are also happy to offer scholarship awards and "Top Teacher" awards again, both of which promise to attract more competitors of higher caliber, and to make it even more appealing, we've increased our prize money by a substantial amount. Please see the chart below for details.
