Kelly Holt Kelly Holt, Associate Professor of Dance in the Department of Theater and Dance, has co-directed the dance program at Case Western Reserve University for 25 years. At the invitation of Ted Herstand, the then chair of the Department of Dance and Drama, Mr. Holt came to CWRU where he was instrumental in the development of the graduate dance curriculum and wrote the thesis workbook as well as the production handbook. He has trained many dancers here and has helped forge artistic and educational alliances with the Cleveland Institute of Music. He has choreographed numerous works with mountings set on many dancers here at Mather Dance Center as well as other companies and dancers around the country. Prior to joining the faculty here, he danced with the Erick Hawkins dance company for 10 years and appeared in 300 professional stage and screen productions. He was on faculty at the University of California at Santa Cruz and at New York University. In addition, he has taught workshops in Russia and throughout the United States for prestigious dance programs at universities such as Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos and the University of North Texas in Denton. Mr. Holts' works have been seen throughout Europe.
