Lisa Johnson began teaching at California State University, Long Beach in 2006 and teaches courses in ballet technique and pointe. She studied under scholarship at the Marin Ballet, Cleveland Ballet, School of American Ballet and National Ballet School, Toronto, was awarded first place in the Hoffman competition and was a semi-finalist in the Prix de Lausanne. She performed with the Los Angeles Classical Ballet, National Ballet of Canada, Feld Ballet in New York, Ballet Chicago and Hamburg Ballet, was principal guest artist with the Santa Barbara Ballet and Ballet Pacifica. She has been on faculty of California State University, ,Fullerton; the Saint Joseph Ballet; Long Beach Ballet Arts Center; Southland Ballet Academy; and the Ballet Pacifica Academy.
