Description
Mariah Maloney
Mariah Maloney is a New York-based performer, choreographer and teacher working throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. From 1995-2002 she performed as a featured soloist and ensemble dancer with the Trisha Brown Dance Company. Mariah’s choreography has been presented nationally and internationally. Mariah served as an assistant faculty member at SUNY Brockport 2006-2007. Maloney’s past guest artist faculty engagements include Ohio University, The University of Maryland Baltimore County, Dartmouth College and American Dance Festival among others. International guest artist residencies include The National Ballet de Marseille (Marseille, France), TSEH Moscow Summer School (Moscow, Russia), Charleroi/Danses Companie (Belgium) and The Indabi Festival (Inch eon Korea). Ms. Maloney enjoys her New York City home base where she sometimes lives. In New York City Mariah works as a guest artist at Dance New Amsterdam, the Trisha Brown Studio, and the Panetta Movement Center. Ms. Maloney earned her B.F.A. in dance from Purchase College, SUNY. She earned her M.F.A. through the Hollins/ADF graduate dance program in 2007. Mariah’s new work “Pathetique” was presented in Korea in October and St. Mark’s Church Danspace Project in New York in December 2006.
