Rebecca Nordstrom, Professor of Dance/Movement Studies and Co-Coordinaor of the Hampshire Dance Program, holds a BA in art from Antioch College, and an MFA in dance from Smith College, and a certificate in movement analysis (CMA) from the Laban/Bartenieff Institute for Movement Studies. Early in her career she was a member of Laura Dean Dancers and Musicians in New York City. She has since presented her own choreography and performed in the work of other artists in venues locally, nationally and abroad. She is currently a guest artist with Chaos Theory, a dance company directed by Billbob Brown (University of Massachusettes faculty). Areas of special interest are choreography, improvisation, and Laban-based movement studies.
