As Assistant Manager of Technical Services/Stage Manager for the Department of Dance he serves as production stage manager, designs lights for two productions and stage manages two. In addition he stage manages the summer opera. Prior to coming to the University of Iowa, he was an Associate Professor of Theatre at Converse College (www.Converse.edu) where he taught directing, playwriting and acting, directed and designed lights and served as the National Playwriting Program Chair for Region IV of KCACTF. Other professional credits include Ballet Spartanburg (www.balletspartanburg.com), Hilton Head Playhouse, Portland Stage Company (www.portlandstage.com), Creede Repertory Theatre (www.creederep.org), Snowmass/Aspen Repertory Theatre and Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre (www.sartheatre.com). Locally, he has designed lights for Riverside Theatre, City Circle Acting Company and Iowa City Community Theatre. He has also directed for City Circle Acting Company and Mt. Vernon/Lisbon Community Theatre.
