General Information
The Yankee Classic DanceSport Championships is truly an international event, attracting dances from across the globe.
In pro-amateur events we have hosted couples from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, and Canada as well as from every state in the USA. Competing couples - both amateur and professional, have traveled from as far afield as Japan, Italy, Belgium, South Africa, Germany, Denmark, Australia, England, Ireland, Hungary, Spain, Russia and Slovenia, to dance at Yankee, and we have featured a myriad of World Champions on our dance floor
Check out the Yankee Classic 'WALK of FAME' to see a 'Who's Who" of world stars that have won these highly coveted Championship titles. The 'WALK of FAME' can be found in the Photo Gallery. Click on General Information, then Photo Gallery.

I. CLOSING DATE
In order to guarantee appearance in the program, your entry information should be in our office by May 15th. We will do all that we can to make sure that entries received after that time get into the program, however we cannot guarantee it.
PLEASE TRY TO GET YOUR INFORMATION TO US AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE
Many thanks.
:-)
J. HOTEL BOOKINGS
Rooms may be booked either directly with the Marriott Hotel or with the organizers. Please BOOK EARLY~we sold out of rooms last year!
In either case you will receive the Yankee Classic convention room rate per night plus tax.
Call the Boston-Marriott, Cambridge Center directly at 617-494-6600,
BE SURE TO REQUEST THE YANKEE CLASSIC RATE or you will be charged the hotel's prevailing rate.
Alternatively, you may call us at 845 268-6368 and receive the same rate.
Please be prepared to provide a credit card to guarantee your room reservation.
As is policy with all hotels, unless your reservation is cancelled directly with the hotel prior to 5pm on the date of arrival, the hotel will charge a 'no-show' fee to your credit card. Cancellations prior to 5pm will not be charged.
K. HOTEL CHECK-IN
The official hotel check-in time is 3:00pm, however the front desk staff will make every effort to accommodate you when rooms are available.
L. HOTEL PARKING
On-site covered hotel parking, operated by the Kinney Parking Corporation, is available. As with all big-city parking however, it is limited and expensive.
We regret that we are unable to 'validate' tickets for Kinney Parking.
Street parking is available in the area.
M. AIRPORT INFORMATION
Airport of choice is Boston Logan International, which is just 5 miles from the Marriott-Cambridge Center. Pick up a taxi from the Taxi Starter outside and ask for the Marriott-Cambridge Center. There are several marriott hotels in Boston so be sure to specify Marriott-Cambridge Center.
Another option, especially if you fly Southwest, is TG Green Airport in Providence Rhode Island. This requires renting a car for the approximately one hour drive to Boston, and keep in mind that hotel parking is limited and expensive. On street parking and several parking lots are available in the general area.
N. GROUND TRANSPORTATION
A short 5 miles from Logan Airport to the Marriott-Cambridge Center means that a taxi is the simplest and best option.
The average taxi fare is between $18-$25 depending on the time of your arrival.
O. VIDEO TAPING
PRIVATE VIDEO TAPING IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE BALLROOM AT ANY TIME ON THURSDAY, FRIDAY, AND SATURDAY.
WE WILL ALLOW PRIVATE VIDEO TAPING IN THE BALLROOM ON SUNDAY WITH THE PURCHASE OF A VIDEO TAG OF $20.00. ALL CAMERAS WILL BE TAGGED AT THE ENTRANCE DOOR~IF THE TAG IS REMOVED FROM THE CAMERA IT BECOMES INVAID. NO EXCEPTIONS. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO TAKE POSSESSION OF YOUR VIDEO TAPE IF YOU ARE CAUGHT TAKING VIDEOS WITHOUT A TAG. WE ALSO RESERVE THE RIGHT TO HAVE YOU REMOVED FROM THE BALLROOM AND WE WILL NOT REFUND ANY ADMISSION FEE.
